The Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls has opened a call for submissions to gather relevant information to better understand the forms of violence that women and girls experience in sports and the causes and consequences of such violence, as well as existing measures and recommendations to address it.

ILGA World is collecting information on this issue to prepare a joint report on violence against LBTI women and girls in sport. Specifically, we seek concrete examples, statistics, laws and policies, cases, testimonies, and other relevant information from your region. We encourage LGBTI organisations, especially those led by or focusing on trans and intersex people, to join us and provide input.

The deadline to send your information to ILGA World and be included in our joint submission is Wednesday, 3 April 2024, and can be sent to [email protected] or [email protected]. We look forward to contributing to this United Nations report together!
