In this joint statement, we underlined how discriminatory laws and the exclusion from national development policies contribute to subjecting LGBTI people to violence e discrimination.

ITEM 3 - INTERACTIVE DIALOGUE WITH THE SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR ON THE PROMOTION OF TRUTH, JUSTICE, REPARATION AND GUARANTEES OF NON-RECURRENCE

In this joint statement with Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights (RFSL), prepared in consultation with LGBTI rights defenders from El Salvador and Sri Lanka, we called on conflict narratives to include LGBTI people and women, whom are disproportionately victims of sexual and gender-based violence.

ITEM 3 - INTERACTIVE DIALOGUE WITH THE INDEPENDENT EXPERT ON THE ENJOYMENT OF ALL HUMAN RIGHTS BY OLDER PERSONS

In this joint statement with Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights (RFSL), we expressed concern about the absence of recognition of the social and health needs of LGBTI older persons.

In this statement, prepared in consultation with LGBTI and indigenous rights defenders from Colombia and Bolivia, we recommended states to work with indigenous authorities to eradicate violence and discrimination faced by indigenous people with diverse SOGIESC.
