Our people

Alina Mirzoyan (she/her) is Human Rights and Advocacy Coordinator at New Generation Humanitarian NGO (NG NGO) in Armenia, where she coordinates projects and different initiatives aimed at the human rights protection and well-being of LGBTI people, sex workers, women and other vulnerable groups of the society.

As NGNGO representative and/or as an individual, she is a member of various local and international networks, coalitions, including the Armenian Working Group of Trans People and Sex workers, ESWA, Global Network of Sex Work Projects, ILGA World Women’s Steering Committee, Systemic Justice: Community of Practice, and more.

Within these networks and at other national, regional and international platforms, Alina is actively involved in the discussion, advocacy and promotion of the rights of LGBT people, women, sex workers, and other vulnerable groups of the society, speaking up and raising the visibility of their issues and problems in the EECA region, including by presenting reports about the issues of LBT women and SOGI-based human rights violations in Armenia at the United Nations’ CEDAW and CESCR.
