The role
Pan Africa ILGA connects activists and organisations, creating a unified movement that advances LGBTQ and intersex rights in Africa.
It advocates for decriminalisation of consensual same-sex sexual acts and the protection of LGBTI rights in Africa.
The ILGA region also engages with human rights forums in Africa and at the global level, while documenting violations, publishing research, and strengthening organisations’ capacities through skills training, leadership forums, grant making, and projects in alliance with Global South partners.
