Welcome to our new digital home!
After taking the time to listen to the people who use our website, and after a year of working closely with inclusive design agency Studio Lutalica, we can now welcome you to the new ilga.org.
Built for every reader. Our new typeface, Inclusive Sans, is designed for accessibility and readability and carries every page. We use it with a simple goal: make accessibility the default rather than the exception. We build to WCAG 2.1 level AA. A skip link takes keyboard and screen reader users straight to the content. We rewrote every website page to use simpler, clearer language and make our information as accessible as possible. Do send us your feedback at accessibility (a) ilga (dot) org and let us know how we can improve further!
Clear insight into what we do and how we do it. Advocacy, knowledge production, movement strengthening. Our work laid out in clear terms, with improved access to reports, LGBTI maps, advocacy toolkits, and legal mapping.
If your organisation wants to join. Open the Members and regions page to find what membership brings: dedicated grants, trainings and peer learning, priority access to conferences, and emergency response channels. The journey to joining the ILGA World family is now easier, with the Become a member button in the header of every page.
If you belong to a member organisation. Find your region on Members and regions, with links to each ILGA region and lists of our member organisations within each jurisdiction.
If you are an individual activist, you belong here too. From the Take action page, you can download our latest advocacy toolkit and browse openings to work or volunteer with us.
If you are a researcher or a journalist. The Resources menu simplifies information gathering with our reports, latest news, events, and essential guides to UN human rights mechanisms. Every card shows its publication date.
If you need safety support. Open the Safety toolkit. Our digital security guide sits at the top, followed by links to immediately connect with the 24/7 helplines of ProtectDefenders.eu and Access Now.
We continue sharing knowledge directly with the people creating change. Alongside our website, the ILGA World Database remains open to activists worldwide, and you can help to keep it alive. The Donate button sits in the header. Plus, stay close to the movement by signing up for our newsletter at the bottom of any page.
Our new website is your home, where LGBTI knowledge is accessible to everyone. ILGA World is with LGBTI people worldwide, moving liberation forward for all.
