Harmful interactions on social media are on the rise. Reactionary narratives grounded in alleged “freedom of speech” and “family values” have exposed our communities to harassment and the risk of violence.
Many activists and organisations are wondering what to do with their digital presence: is it time to leave X and Meta platforms, with their ongoing disregard for the safety of LGBTI people, and join alternative social media?
