ILGA WORLD HOLDS ITS FIRST-EVER ONLINE BOARD MEETING
Summary
Representatives of our global LGBTIacronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex people. Although this is not the acronym available to describe people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics, it is the most commonly used in United Nations spaces and advocacy. More family met from every corner of the world nonetheless: at times, there were people connected over 20 different time zones!

Dear ILGA family,
Who would have ever thought
that our Board meetings would look like this:
a bunch of little figures in a video
connected over 20 different time zones!
The world now looks completely different
but some things cannot change
We are thinking of you,
and from ILGA we continue to support our global LGBTI community
even during these difficult days.
There’s a lot we need to talk about
If we want to shape how our world might look like after Covid-19!

we’ll soon start our #inthistogether series,
our roundtables and webinars
to start a conversation about the future that our movements will want to see
when these dark days will be over at last!
Now more than ever, this is a time for solidarity:
