The Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, Victor Madrigal-Borloz, will present his report on the impact of colonialism and decolonization on the continued formation and perpetuation of harmful social mores associated with sexual orientation and gender identity, and how these relate to the enjoyment of human rights on 26 October 2023.

Join Outright International and ILGA World for this webinar on Friday, 27 October at 9 am ET to further explore the report and civil society’s experiences and perspectives on colonialism, including how it is one of the root causes of violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and good practices for stakeholders to adopt based on these reflections.

The webinar will have Spanish interpretation.
