Tofunmi Odugbemi (she/her) is the Communications Intern at ILGA World.
Tofunmi is currently studying as a BVS and LLM student at City, University of London.
She completed her Bachelor’s at McGill in Political Science and African Studies and received an MSc in African Studies from the University College London, which focused on the connection between transnational advocacy and norm immunisation against LGBTI+ rights in Nigeria. Tofunmi is a legal observer with Black Protest Legal Support UK, a Fellow with The Solidarity Library, and a transition board member at Human Rights Pulse. She is committed to fulfilling racial justice, dismantling all systems of oppression, and working towards the realisation of social and legal equality for all regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics. Womanism, Black feminism, anti-ableist, anti-racist, anti-establishment, abolitionist, anti-capitalist, and queer theory inform her work.
