Every year, ILGA World’s State-Sponsored Homophobia report provides data on laws that affect people on the basis of their sexual orientation. Together with the Sexual Orientation Laws in the World map, the publication paints a vivid picture of the progress and setbacks that continue to happen across the world.
On 15 December 2020, ILGA World will launch the latest update to the report’s Global Legislation Overview section. On this occasion, the team of researchers behind the State-Sponsored Homophobia report will share the main findings of the publication.
This will be an important opportunity to learn more about how the situation around laws affecting people on the grounds of their sexual orientation has changed in 2020, as the whole world had to battle with the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
