Paulina (Paula) Klik (she/her) is the Events Senior Officer at ILGA World, assisting the organisation of international events (including ILGA World conferences) and development of strategies, tools and processes to support the organisation. Prior to her current position, she worked at ILGA World as the Admin and Membership Officer.
Paula worked as an interpreter in the U.K, as a teacher in Colombia, and as a conference intern at ILGA-Europe in Belgium. She holds a master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies from Central European University in Hungary and University of Oviedo in Spain. Her main areas of interest are migration studies and queer theory, therefore her thesis focused on identity and migration motivation of LGB+ Poles living in West Midlands, UK. Paula also holds a Bachelor Degree in English Linguistics and Human Biology from Aston University in the UK.
Paula speaks Polish, English and Spanish and is working on her French. She dabbles in video editing and writing, and is very passionate about sustainable and eco living, which she extends to her work at ILGA World.
