Nazlı Mayuk (they/them) is the Communications Intern at ILGA World.
Following a year of an exchange student program at Sheffield Hallam University, Nazlı developed an interest in documentary storytelling. They completed their master’s degree in Film Studies, with a focus on empowerment of survivors through storytelling, at Anadolu University.
Nazlı took part in organizing Les Universités d’Été Euroméditerranéennes des Homosexualités, an annual queer feminist event, from 2016 till 2019. Since 2018, they have been an active participant in the Transformative Activism: Rethinking Gender and Politics Program where they explore creative ways of building community resiliency. As an extension of their continuous work, Nazlı authored a digital guide on building queer resiliency in times of crisis in October 2020.
