A STATEMENT BY THE REGIONAL BOARD OF ILGALAC

The Regional Board of ILGALAC – The International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association for Latin America and the Caribbean – hereby informs ILGA member organisations, as well as our allies, co-operators and the community in general that it has been resolved by consensus to terminate the mandate of the executive director of the regional office, Mr. Pedro Paradiso Sottile, decision notified on 28/05/2021; as of that date, Mr. Sottile no longer represents ILGA or ILGALAC.

We also inform you that the online management of ILGALAC’s operations will be temporarily assumed by the regional board until the vacant position is filled; for the first time in the history of the organisation, this position will be soon elected through an open and transparent process, and as a first step, a public call will be made with the terms of reference, deadlines and necessary information for those who wish to apply.

The ILGALAC Regional Board remains available for any further information, and counts on the collaboration and accompaniment of member organisations and allies to continue building a trans-feminist region for everyone.
