ILGA World Gala

Advancing equality for LGBTI people everywhere is no easy task.
And those who commit everyday to shape a world where everyone can live safely, equally and free deserve our warmest and loudest "thank you".

The ILGA World Gala is a time for celebration. Once a year, we hold an invitation-only event to celebrate LGBTI organisations, community members, human rights activists and allies with whom we share a vision: a vision of a world where the human rights of all are respected.

During the first edition, held in Geneva in June 2017, ILGA honoured United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein with the “LGBTI Friend of the Year” award, and celebrated the Ville de Genève joining ILGA as Associate Member.
