IDAHOBIT: 2023 annual report
The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT), celebrated annually on 17 May, is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness about discrimination, violence, and challenges faced by people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identity, and sex characteristics.
This report shares some highlights of this year's IDAHOBIT campaign, in which the theme - "Together always: united in diversity" - emphasised the power of solidarity and allyship in fostering an inclusive society that respects and celebrates the rights of all individuals.
Starting in 2023, ILGA World has taken a more active role in the global campaign, by coordinating the IDAHOBIT Working Group and hosting its Secretariat to facilitate participation of our communities worldwide.
