In this joint statement by ILGA World and RFSL, activists from 17 countries reminded the Human Righta Council that LGBTI people face barriers to accessing safe and adequate facilities of drinking water and sanitation - a major human rights violation that leads to increased marginalisation and economic disempowerment.

ILGA World has supported a side event organised by the Center for Reproductive Rights, looking at the issue of infertility and human rights.
The event was aimed to create a space to speak about (in)fertility, its prevalence, prevention, causes and impact, as well as its human rights and gender equality dimensions. Click here to learn more (a video recording of this event will be available soon)
In this statement, made in consultation with four LGBTI civil society organisations from Albania and ERA - LGBTI Equal Rights Association, we commended Albania for its support to the renewal of the mandate on sexual orientation and gender identity, but we also noted how the situation of LGBTI people in Albania remains of great concerns, and urged the Government to make their position public on various issues related to LGBTI rights.
