ANNUAL FULL-DAY MEETING: RIGHTS OF THE CHILD

In this joint statement, ILGA and RFSL highlight how lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender non-conforming and intersex children are being left out from the Agenda 2030 and therefore are at a heightened risk of being overlooked in the implementation.

ITEM 4 | GENERAL DEBATE

In this statement, ILGA called the UN Human Rights Council’s attention to just a few examples of how individuals face widespread violence and discrimination because of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression and/or sex characteristics.

UPR adoptions

During the 34th session of the Human Rights Council, ILGA worked with human rights defenders from various countries to help deliver statements during the UPR adoptions.

VENEZUELA

During the second cycle of the UPR, Venezuela received 4 SOGIESC recommendations and accepted 2 of these recommendations.

ICELAND

During the second cycle of the UPR, Iceland received 1 SOGIESC recommendations and accepted 1 of these recommendations.

ZIMBABWE

During the second cycle of the UPR, Zimbabwe received 10 SOGIESC recommendations and accepted none of these recommendations.

LITHUANIA
