Rape is a weapon: end violence against women

Rape is a weapon, and it seeks to dehumanise its victims.

It is a weapon of war, a weapon used against the most vulnerable populations.
A weapon used to ‘cure’ the sexuality of lesbian, bisexual and queer women, or to punish them.

Rape is a weapon - used to target trans people, intersex women and gender nonconforming people, too.
It is a weapon of control, and it is a weapon of power.

On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, hear from the our Women's Committee Chair, co-Secretaries General and staff, and watch the video below.

Let's make this world safe for all women, all people!
