Diana Carolina Prado Mosquera (she/her) has been working with ILGA since 2015, leading the UPR, Human Rights Council, and Sustainable Development Goals work by developing strategies, activities and advocacy amongst others.
She has worked on the UPR nationally with the Colombian government and on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law in Colombia and Uruguay. This included coordinating meetings with underrepresented grassroots LGBTI organizations in order to accomplish the comprehensive Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law public policy in Colombia. She has also written on the application of the principles of equality and non-discrimination for trans women deprived of their liberty in Colombian prisons and on LBT women victims of sexual violence in armed conflicts, and also authored the SOGIESC UPR Advocacy toolkit and co-authored ARC, IBAHRI and ILGA’s joint report on SOGIESC issues at the UPR.
Diana holds a Law degree with emphasis in International Public Law from the Universidad del Rosario, Colombia and a Master degree in Human Rights from the Universidad Pontificia Catolica del Peru.
