Transgender teacher releases CD for charity

Pham Le Quynh Tram, the first transgender who was recognized by the law in Vietnam has made her debut album. She said that all revenue from this CD will be donated for charity.\n

Album "Duyen Que" (Rural Charm) was recorded in four months. It is being released this week. This CD includes eight songs about the homeland and love.

"I cherished this album for a long time. I also devoted a lot of time and enthusiasm to it. I hope that the audience will welcome it. All profits from the sale of the disc will be donated to the advantaged people, through the Red Cross of Chon Thanh district, Binh Phuoc province, the birthplace of the name Pham Le Quynh Tram today," said the transgender teacher.

Quynh Tram said she would pursue the education career, not singing. She revealed: "I just want to be a teacher who can sing. Whenever I sing, I find myself more optimistic."
