Aengus Carroll (he/him) is an Irish researcher and consultant with particular interest in the socio-legal aspects of international human rights advocacy, especially relating to SOGIE. He holds a LL.M in international human rights law.

Over the past couple of years, for the most part working with ILGA World, he has co-authored ILGA’s State Sponsored Homophobia publication that charts sexual orientation laws across the world. He is currently overseeing the development of a longitudinal global survey on public attitudes to sexual, gender and sex minorities for ILGA in an effort to elicit evidence (not anecdote) to support SOGIESC advocacy.
