New study to track transgender health

A new research project is underway to document the experiences of people who have undergone a female-to-male (FtM) gender transition. Conducted by researchers at the University of New England (UNE), the study will explore issues commonly faced by FtM people such as sexuality, the transition process, physical and mental health, access to support services and obstacles faced in everyday life such as employment discrimination and substance abuse.
