This after reports came out that Miss Universe officials decided to change its rules, allowing transgender contestants in the pageant, the first of which is Jenna Talackova who will be competing for Canada’s spot.

Eriz Lanseta, a transvestite and winner of the Miss Gay Philippines-Universe last March, in a radio report, said Miss Universe is designed only for naturally born women.

Lanseta, who will be representing the Philippines to the Miss Queen International in Thailand in November, said how are transgender contestants going to answer such question as “what is the essence of being a woman?” when they are not “real women.”

Lanseta described “real women” as those who can bear children and give birth.

Lanseta urged transgender women to respect beauty contests, which are created only for naturally born women.

Unlike Talackova, Lanseta has not undergone sex change. (Sunnex)
