Eleven LGBT-affirming churches from all over Asia and nearby countries have gathered in Chai Wan, Hong Kong for the annual Amplify Asia Conference.

The Amplify Asia Conference was founded three years ago by Pastor Gary Chan of Free Community Church Singapore. It serves as a a call for those running LGBT-affirming churches to be a blessing to the development of inclusive churches and ministries in Asia, for them to be effective witnesses for the Gospel, thereby meeting the needs of the LGBT community. It also aims to unite the LGBT churches and Christians around Asia and nearby countries so they can discuss and facilitate workshops intended to promote the Queer Theology and Christian Values among members of the LGBT community.

This year, the theme for Amplify Asia was “Live, Love and Lead”.

Among the international speakers were Rev. Dr. Cindy Love, Rev. Dr. Patrick Cheng, Natasha Holmes and Rev. Boon Ngeo Lin, all of them leading the different workshops and seminars. Ten countries participated in this year’s gathering, including Japan, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia.
