Hi there,

My name is Matt. I am a gay man and I live and work in London.

I am studying an MA in Global Society and Media Communication with Staffordshire University. For my final dissertation I am researching how the internet has allowed LGBTI people to come together online on websites like this one. I am interested in examining how this allows LGBTI people to challenge the dominance of heterosexual society on a global scale.

As you may know, LGBTI issues are under-researched and underrepresented in academia. This is one of the reasons why I have chosen this topic.

If you would be happy to discuss this topic with me online please get in touch - I would be glad to hear from you either via this site or to my university e-mail: b012144a@student.staffs.ac.uk

For your information, details of the MA programme can be found at: http://www.staffs.ac.uk/course/global-society-and-media-communication-tcm4220885.jsp

Please note that I will not ask for any personal contact details and I will not include in my work any details which might be traced back to any one individual. Participation is voluntary and online participants may withdraw from the research at any time.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you.

With best wishes,

Matt
