Venezuela's national Ombudsperson Office deals with sexual diversity:

In a landmark decision, the national Ombudswoman for Venezuela, Gabriela Ramirez opened a consulting office for the human rights of sexual diversity in the country. This office, for which I was appointed, is responsible for spreading the issue of sexual diversity in the work of the ombudsperson office. The first meetings with the Board have been very promising. In May this year, the ombudsperson Office organized an international seminar entitled ¨ Sexualities, Sexual diversity and human rights ¨, which was attended by Co-secretary General of ILGA, Gloria Careaga, as well as several officials from national human rights offices throughout Latin-American and well-known human rights activists.
