When my husband died, using an estate issue as an excuse, all of my medical records were publicized and I was ridiculed on The Today Show, The View, People Magazine among others as not being worthy of my husband's love. The Supr. Ct. of Kansas set aside our marriage, ordered me out of my Missouri home, and left me broke and vulnerable to my Christian employer's abuse (Park University). I performed with dignity even though Fred Phelps protested me the first day of classes and my Dean, Pete Soule, compared me to a soldier who stepped on a land mine. Park waited to see the outcome of my legal fight against The Thomas Moore Institute for my marriage and when I lost, caved to the wishes of Fred Phelps and fire me after 9 years of service with no reason given. I lost my privacy, my job, my career, all my savings, and my country. I escaped to a friendlier place.

I tried to get my story told, but no one cares about us after they get through snickering at us.
