After months of homophobic reporting in Ghana's media, political parties are beginning to scapegoat the LGBTI community to score political points. John Kumah, a youth activist of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly calling President Mills gay on a radio show. He alleged that President Mills was having a relationship with Ato Ahwoi, one of his advisers. While the President has no desire to pursue the case, Ato Ahwoi plans to sue both the media houses and Kumah for the allegations. >>>
