I'm not gay but I still wanted to share a little story with you. It's not about me but more about my family. Even if non-religious family, we still kept the old costum of giving godparents to a child where I'm from. That's how I ended up having not a godmother and a godfather, but actually two godfathers since my uncle is gay. And I couldn't have chose better mentors than him and his boyfriend ! When I was young, my uncles would always play with me and they supported me throught school as I grew up. My father and his brother were really close so I got to see my beloved godfathers often. When I entered university, my uncle gave me good advice that followed me throught a Ph D.

I love my uncles and I'm proud to say that I grew up thinking that love could bloom everywhere and in any kind of couples ! I only learned in elementary school that some conversative stupid people consider same-sex couple ÂŤ not correct Âť and I was shocked. I wish we could live in a world where every little kids would have the chance I had. I wish we could live in a world where we could choose our partner with our heart and not because of what others say. I wish we could live in a would where having two godfathers or two godmothers is perfectly normal and people wouldn't be surprise when I tell them that.
