Anjali Gopalan, of Naz Foundation India Trust,has been a champion of LGBT issues in India and has stewarded the case against Section 377 of IPC (to decriminalise homosexuality) for 10 long years.

She also has also been a champion of HIV prevention efforts, and the rights of PLHIV.

She has now been chosen as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine,along with the likes of Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton, and Warren Buffet.
