Court to decide on hearing date for Section 377A case

The High Court will set a date to hear the case revolving around a challenge against the law that makes sex between men a crime, after lawyers from both sides submit their documents.
Justice Quentin Loh has given the lawyers until 4 February to do so. He decided on this at a pre-trial conference on 18 January.

In December, 2010, Tan's constitutional challenge against Section 377A was struck out by the assistant registrar on the grounds that it was, among other things, an abuse of court process. Read the full story.
