James Olson's research findings suggest that brain dominance plays a significant role in our sexual orientation. His findings are in his book The Whole-Brain Path to Peace.

Olson believes that he has discovered what he considers to be a missing link in our cultural understanding of the roots of sexual orientation. While doing research for his book, he recognized a direct correlation between hemispheric dominance and whether one is gay or straight. Based on his study of how the brain guides our behavior, he offers a rational, science-based, holistic description of human sexuality that complements and adds to existing theories.
