ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that according to the constitution trans-genders had equal rights as all citizens of Pakistan

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case pertaining to the rights of the trans-genders. The apex court ruled that the transgenders also have the right over family inheritance.
The Supreme Court directed the authorities to send copies of the court order to federal and provincial governments and also directed strict implementation of the order. Read more.
