IFBP Seeks a Southern Region HIV Community Mobilization Project Coordinator

The International Federation of Black Prides (IFBP) is seeking a highly motivated and community oriented individual to serve as the full-time Project Coordinator for its new Southern Region HIV Community Mobilization Project which will focus on the Southern Region of the United States.

The Project Coordinator will provide general oversight and management of project including formalizing and enhancing mobilization networks; providing education and training to mobilization networks; coordinating project activities with other national, regional, state and local organizations including non-LGBT and non-HIV/AIDS organizations; serving as the primary liaison to the program evaluation consultant, and for making all required communications/reports.

The position requires Bachelor’s degree in social work, health education or related fields or a combination of education and experience which includes a minimum of two to five years of experience in the area of social services, community based services and/or HIV prevention and/or risk reduction. Familiarity and comfort ability with Gay, Bisexual and other MSM individuals/communities as well as non-LGBT and non- HIV/AIDS, social and civic organizations is highly desired. Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple detailed oriented projects at one time are critical skills are requirements for this position.

Please note this position will require the selected individual to work from a home office located in the South Carolina, North Carolina or Georgia. Additionally, the position will require travel to other states in the South; to our home office in Washington, DC and to partner required conferences/meetings. This position is scheduled to start mid-October, 2013. Salary will be commensurate with experience and matching position skills.
