Argentina: President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner defends marriage equality bill

in ARGENTINA, 15/07/2010

Days before the Argentinean senate votes on a historic marriage equality bill (the vote will take place on July 14, 2010), President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner voiced her strongest support yet for the bill. Kirchner, who is in a diplomatic visit to China and won't be in Argentina when the vote takes place, has said that she will not veto the bill if it arrives on her desk after the senate vote. The lower House of Deputies already approved a version of the bill.
