ILGA organized a side event at the CSW on 5 March 2010 on homophobia within the education system.
ILGA organized a side event at the CSW on 5 March 2010 on homophobia within the education system. Chaired by Rebeca Sevilla of Education International, the two panelists were Helen Kennedy (Egale/ILGA North America) and Valentine Kalende from FAR/Uganda. Two panelists were unable to attend, Iris Hernandez from Chile because of the earthquake and Patricia Nantayi, Uganda, because she did not obtain a visa to enter the USA.
Our intention was to inform, to share best practices and to analyse current knowledge on homophobia and education.
