Seminar on Human Rights, Sexual Orientation and Mental Health, to be held in Lima on May 17, 2011.

Celebrating the International Day Against Homophobia, and commemorating 30 years of banning homosexuality from WHO’s Statistical Classification of Diseases and Other Health Problems, the seminar aims to encourage all mental health professionals, other health professionals, human rights and TLGB activists to help dispel the stigma of mental illness that some people still associate with homosexuality and to promote prevention of mental health problems among lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Topics will include:
1. Sexual Orientation and Mental Health: The Kinsey Report to the DSM-IV and WHO
2. Interventions around sexual orientation and mental health: Debates and controversies.
3. Homophobia and Transphobia lesbophobia: No to violence
4. Speeches from the cultural activities in the Human Rights
