Mira Alexis P. Ofreneo

Executive Director, CLIC (Can’t Live In the Closet), Mira is also a teacher, psychologist, and researcher and has been advocating for LGBT issues in the classroom, the clinic, and the academe in the Philippines. She engages the public on LGBT discourse through a weekly lesbian advice column and has been counselling LGBs and women survivors of violence for 5 years. She has developed gender training tools including a sexualities map, humorously referred to as the “mira-matrix.” At the moment, she is busy researching on same-sex domestic violence. Mira has a degree in Economics, a master’s in Counselling, and sometime soon, a PhD in Social Psychology.
