The Belgian Greens raise the issue of the Brazilian resolution

Ms Zoé Genot (Ecolo party /Greens - Belgium) recently raised the issue of the Brazilian resolution at the last Foreign Affairs committee in the Belgian Parliament.

Genot questioned Foreign Affairs Minister Louis Michel, who assured that the Belgian Government would support the resolution, though recalling Belgium will not sit at the next UNCHR session (countries sit only for 3 years). Michel shared Genot’s view on the necessity to lobby other governments and said Belgium was now working on a common European statement on the Brazilian resolution.
