Tanvir Alim attended the 24th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva with the support of ILGA, where the UPR report of Bangladesh was formally adopted on the 20th September 2013. He was able to present an oral statement on behalf of ILGA and his organization. Previously, at the UPR interactive dialogue for Bangladesh on the 29th April 2013, ILGA was pleased to welcome his colleague Shakhawat Hossain Rajeeb.

Franz Mananga was welcomed in Geneva in May 2013 by Patricia Curzi, from ILGA. They both got in touch with the diplomatic missions so that recommendations relating to sexual orientation and gender identity would be issued as part of the review of his country. Franz and other LGBTI organizations from Cameroon had previously gotten in touch with embassies in Cameroon. The report will be formally adopted during the 24th session of the Human Rights Council, to be held in September. >>>
NGOs are concerned on the attack from some States on the format of the Working Group report of the Universal Periodic Review and their decision to consider some recommendations as "non relevant".
