The Interim Steering Committee of PAI, Pan Africa ILGA, a federation of 84 LGBTI organizations, is delighted to invite activists from the whole continent for its second regional conference to take place in Nairobi, Kenya from March 24th March till March 28th 2014.

Pan Africa ILGA, as a federation of 62 regional LGBTI organisations, is joining human rights groups from around the world in condemning the Anti-Homosexuality Bill. This Bill is a key obstacle to the development of a human rights culture and movement in Uganda. Furthermore, it is a direct threat to the ideals of democracy, the country’s Constitution and its enshrined principles of human dignity, equality, freedom and justice for all. >>>
Pan Africa ILGA, a federation of 67 LGBTI organisations in Africa, expresses deep concern over the continued human rights violations in Cameroon, particularly towards the LGBT persons. The appeal of a Cameroonian man who was sentenced to three years imprisonment in 2011 after sending a text message, has been delayed for a further two months.
Activists gathered at the first regional conference of ILGA in Africa (Johannesburg - May 2007) made significant progress in establishing an African regional LGBTI federation. They created an 11-member, interim board to govern the newly formed Pan-African LGBTI federation. >>>
