Gay teenage mountain climber to meet LGBT youth in Singapore

Twenty-year-old American Cason Crane, who has climbed five of the world's highs mountains to raise money for LGBT youth suicide prevention, is in Singapore tomorrow.

Crane will meet with young LGBT people under 25 at an event organized by Young Out Here.

The young adventurer said in an interview with Young Out Here that he decided to start the project after the death of a close friend, and of Tyler Clementi, a young university student who killed himself after being filmed having sex with a man by his roommate.

‘Confronted by the tragic deaths of my friend and Tyler and witnessing daily the trials and tribulations facing LGBTQ youth, I felt compelled to work to make things better for these youth,’ Crane wrote in a column for Huffington Post.
