Dear members of LGBT Youth Organizations,
UNESCO is organizing a youth participation program. Youth organizations can submit a proposal to do a project and get more involved with society. The letter available to download on their homepage here, assists you in submitting a proposal. The letter is also attached to the bottom of this article.
The Global Alliance for LGBT Education (GALE) is a formal consultative partner of UNESCO since 2008 and we would like to make the voice of LGBTI people more heard in UNESCO. We also want to increase our cooperation with youth organizations, so we see this as an opportunity.
Attached to the letter, you will find:
- a short description of the call for proposals with links to more information
- a model application form we have already filled in for you; this is a Word copy of the online form you have to submit. The online form is here
The pre-filled in form makes it easier for you to just edit it and submit it. GALE has written a role for itself in the proposal, because we would like to cooperate with you. If you don’t like this, you are of course free to delete our role and budget and make a proposal yourself. If you like to cooperate but want to change the GALE support and budget, please contact us about this to avoid misunderstandings at a later stage.
Note: the deadline for the submission of project proposals: 12 August 2013
Some youth groups are not registered as an organization and do not the required Statutes. If you are willing, GALE could submit the proposal on your behalf. If you have any questions or need help with your proposal, let us know. We are standing by.
Executive Director, GALE
