Thessaloniki Pride is a civil society organization based in Thessaloniki, Greece, founded in April 2012, operating on the basis of voluntary service provided by its members and other affiliated volunteers. Its goal is to promote equality, support human rights and enhance visibility of the LGBTI people in Thessaloniki and beyond. It holds the annual Thessaloniki Pride Festival first started in June 2012 and so far two successful Pride events have been held with massive participation. This year's Thessaloniki Pride is scheduled for 20-21 of June and it will focus on the LGBTI youth since Thessaloniki is European Youth Capital for 2014. Apart from the annual Pride Festival Thessaloniki Pride is engaged in initiatives and events for social intervention and information throughout the year. In October 2013 it launched the "Rainbows After the Rain" campaign, an anti-bullying project in schools which puts emphasis mainly on sexual orientation and gender indentity. Thessaloniki Pride holds a weekly radio emission called "Proud 'n' Loud" broadcasted by the municipal radio. Thessaloniki Pride is trying to built a Southeast Europe LGBTI organizations regional network. For this it organized and hosted BA.R.CO.D.E., an SE European LGBTI activists meeting held in Thessaloniki in January 2013.
