Pangea International is a LGBTI organisation targeted at foreigners/immigrants/expats living in Denmark. We arrange social, political and cultural activities and we cooperate locally and internationally with other LGBTI organisations and activists. Amongst our members you can find more than 50 nationalities. Our social activities are targeted at improving the social capital of LGBTI persons. They are a way of fighting the isolation and double discrimination that LGBTI expats/foreigners/immigrants struggle with in Denmark. Our social activities vary from having brunch together to to arranging trips. Our cultural activities are aimed at increasing the awareness, knowledge and understanding of the situation of LGBTI expats/foreigners/immigrants in Denmark. Some of our cultural activities are workshops, debates and seminars in cooperation with other LGBTI organisations/activists. Our political activities are aimed at fighting heterosexim, transphobia, biphobia, homophobia and intersexphobia together with xenophobia and racism. Some of our political activities are the participation in political festivals, the participation in Copenhagen pride and other prides worldwide, ad hoc demonstrations for the rights of LGBTI and similar actions.
