Pink Dot MTL is a non-profit movement inspired by Pink Dot SG. Pink Dot commenced in Singapore with a group of individuals who care deeply about love, support and freedom of LGBTI people. It is a group for everyone, straight and gay, who support the belief that everyone deserves the freedom to love. With openness and acceptance, we hope to bring LGBT Montrealers closer to their family and friends. Pink Dot is all about enhancing the message of equality between everyone despite race, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality. Its very purpose is to let everyone know that LGBTI people are the same as anyone else. The event is held once a year and there are no boundaries on who can attend. All you have to do is bring your friends, families, loved ones, and wear something pink. Once everyone arrives, we come together and form a massive Pink Dot where aerial photos can be taken. Singapore has been extremely successful as every year the list of attendees grows by the thousands. Montreal is proud to follow their footsteps in our first event scheduled for the summer of 2012. The message is so pure and beautiful its very purpose reaches out and encourages everyone to come together and support The Freedom to Love!!!
