Batwoman writers quit after DC Comics bans gay wedding

Two comic book writers have quit after DC Comics banned them from showing Batwoman marrying her girlfriend.\n

JH Williams III and W. Haden Blackman have claimed one of the largest comic book companies asked them to ‘compromise the character and the series’.
Earlier this year, Kate Kane asked her girlfriend Maggie to marry her in the first ever superhero proposal.

‘We were told to ditch plans for Killer Croc’s origins, forced to drastically alter the original ending of our current arc, which would have defined Batwoman’s heroic feature in bold new ways; and, most crushingly, prohibited from ever showing Kate and Maggie actually getting married,’ he said.
