Police said Rajesh, 29, was employed with a private firm and was a friend of Hari, a transvestite. The duo used to drink together and share the money which Hari earned through fortune-telling in a nearby temple.
On Friday night, Hari called Rajesh to a burial ground in Mangadu to drink.
The transvestite reportedly tried to seduce Rajesh for a physical relationship. Though Rajesh turned down his demands, he is said to have compelled him. The duo got into a fight. Apparently upset by his advances, Rajesh crushed Hari’s head with a stone. He then placed Hari’s body on the stand where the bodies are usually cremated.
