We are glad to announce that scholarships submission for the ninth biennial meeting of the International Association for the Study of Sexuality, Culture and Society (IASSCS) has started today. The Conference, entitled “Sex and the Marketplace: What’s Love got to do with it?”, will take place from 28th to 31st August 2013 in Buenos Aires-Argentina. This conference is co-organized by the Study Group on Sexualities (GES for its initials in Spanish), Institute Gino Germani, School of Social Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina.

On February 2nd, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian Health Minister launched the Ministry’s 2012 Carnival AIDS prevention campaign. According to Ministry information, the campaign was to be aimed, on a priority basis, at young gay men, thus giving continuity to the theme of the 2011 World Aids Day campaign in Brazil.
